How to price wholesale products

Wholesale pricing starts with landed cost, not the supplier’s list price. Add freight, packing, unloading and any lot-level cost, then divide by quantity. That is what one unit actually cost you to hold.
A target margin is a percentage of the selling price, not of cost. If you want 22% margin, you do not add 22% to landed cost. You divide landed cost by (1 − 0.22).
Once you have a pre-GST selling price, add GST with the GST calculator or the invoice builder. Mixing tax into the margin step is how quotes go wrong.
The Wholesale Pricing Calculator does this arithmetic for a lot. Check stock, credit terms and what the market will actually pay before you lock the number.
